Verona crashed out of the Coppa Italia after a 4-1 defeat to Sampdoria and Andrea Mandorlini thinks he knows what’s wrong.
This setback was their fourth consecutive defeat in all competition and Verona have conceded eight goals in the last two games.
“We created some good chances, but allowed Samp far too many counter-attacks,” said the Coach.
“This change in results is down to the lack of concentration I’ve seen over the last three games. We have to improve in that respect.
“All together, I am nonetheless happy with the work of some players who don’t find much space to show what they can do in Serie A.”
After this 4-1 defeat, Verona announced the team would go into a pre-match retreat from today until their Serie A encounter with Atalanta on Sunday afternoon.
