Lazio have made inquiries about signing Hoffenheim striker Vedad Ibisevic, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Hoffenheim plan to sell the Bosnia international in an overhaul of the squad following Ralf Rangnick's departure.
Edy Reja is said to be a great admirer of Ibisevic's ability to play as a second striker and has sent Igli Tare to take a closer look.
The 26-year-old scored 18 goals in 17 Bundesliga appearances in the 2008-09 campaign before suffering a serious knee injury, which derailed Hoffenheim's title hopes.
Hoffenheim value Ibisevic at around €10m, but Lazio feel that an offer of between €7m and €8m will be enough to tempt the German outfit into a sale at the end of the season.
