It has been confirmed that Palermo will be without Javier Pastore and Mauricio Pinilla when they face Catania in the Derby di Sicilia this weekend.
Pastore has inflammation around the medial ligaments of his right knee, which Palermo's medical staff is monitoring closely.
The Argentine trequartista is Palermo's most valuable players and will be sorely missed on Sunday.
As for Pinilla, he has tweaked his left thigh muscle and won't recover in time.
The Chilean striker has proven a hit at the Renzo Barbera, scoring four goals in 10 appearances in Serie A.
