Juventus will have another transfer problem to solve this summer given that Atletico Madrid reportedly won't take up their option to buy Tiago Mendes.
The Portuguese midfielder has been on loan with Atletico since January 2010 after struggling to settle in Turin.
The Spanish club renegotiated his loan over the summer with the Bianconeri hoping that such a deal would lead to a permanent sale in 2011.
However, according to sources in Spain, Atletico are unimpressed by the former Chelsea player's form and they will return him to Juve.
Tiago's contract in Turin runs until June 2012 and the club will now probably have to find a new buyer.
Nevertheless, they are unlikely to get anywhere near the €12m that they paid to Lyon for him in the summer of 2007.
