Roma boss Rudi Garcia has hailed the ability of club captain Francesco Totti. “He’s one of the best in history.”
Garcia arrived at the Olimpico in the summer from Lille and Totti, now 37, was an instrumental figure until picking up an injury.
“Great players are generally the easiest to work with,” Garcia told France Football.
“Totti is a normal guy, a leader who always gives a good example, a humble person but also an intelligent one.
“He loves football and what he does is appreciated by everyone.
“When I spoke to him he told me what I wanted to hear, that he was hungry for victory and that he wanted to lift a trophy or two with Roma.
“He has impressed me, he is one of the greatest players in the history of Italian football.”
