Massimo Moratti has recalled the first time he tasted success in the Derby della Madonnina as Inter President.
Italy is gearing itself for Saturday's match between the two sides, which has the potential to decide this year's title race.
Interviewed by Il Corriere dello Sport, Moratti said: "Derby wins are all great, but I like to remember last year's 4-0 win when Inter were perfect.
"It will be an important game in which we want to do well, but the season is long and it certainly won't finish after the derby.
"The derby is always a special game. Inter fans care a lot about the matches against Juventus but the derby is the derby and it gives us many great memories.
"Winning it is always a pleasure. It seems that the tradition of recent years is positive too, or am I mistaken?"
Asked to recall his first derby as President, Moratti said: "The one that we won 3-1 in April 1995. You never forget the first time.
"At that time we were the underdogs because Milan were stronger and had a really great team.
"Ours was quite an achievement and we got the three points thanks to a great performance from the entire team.
"It was a great start, I admit," he concluded.
