Simone Pepe feels tonight's clash with his old club Roma is the chance for Juventus “to re-launch our campaign.”
The winger grew up in the Giallorossi youth academy and will face his former side in Turin this evening.
“It is going to be incredibly hard against Roma,” he told Juventus Channel.
“We are, however, 100 per cent ready for this match, as we know it is an important opportunity to re-launch our campaign, both in terms of confidence and the table.”
Juve had been flying high, but were held to a 1-1 draw at Brescia in the midweek round.
“Wednesday's game did leave a bitter taste in the mouth, as despite not playing extremely well, we still could've taken home the victory.
“Roma are in an excellent period of form, but like Inter and Milan, they too have weak points and it's up to us to make the most of them.”
Another ex-Roma man, Marco Motta, is suspended in addition to the injury crisis, so Pepe could again be used as a full-back.
“If the Coach wanted me to switch to this role permanently then I would think about it. I don't think there would be problems, as with a bit of hard work you can do anything.”
Amauri, Felipe Melo and Armand Traoré are back in the squad after their injury lay-offs.
