Cagliari defender Davide Astori is looking forward to the challenge of stopping Napoli ace Gonzalo Higuain this weekend.
The Rossoblu will host the Neapolitans in their final game of 2013 and the Argentine will pose a threat.
“Higuain is a very strong player,” the Italian international told the Corriere dello Sport. “He’s a modern attacker and very concrete in front of goal.
“We will have to be very alert against him.”
Higuain cost Napoli €37.5m in the summer from Real Madrid after they sold Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain.
He has netted eight goals in 15 Serie A games, as well as four in five Champions League encounters.
“We didn’t start the season too well,” added Astori. “But I, as well as the rest of the team, have grown and it has been a positive season so far.”
