Cagliari President Massimo Cellino is delighted with the impact Roberto Donadoni has made since his appointment at the club.
Although Cagliari haven't won in three matches and have lost their last two, survival is already assured for the Sardinian outfit.
Interviewed by Il Corriere dello Sport, Cellino said: "Last autumn when I was forced to replace Pier Paolo Bisoli, I wasn't sure that Donadoni was the right man.
"Among those available he was the most important and one of the most expensive, but by sheer intuition he didn't give me the impression that he would be the ideal choice.
"In short, I had the sensation of shifting my interest towards another tactician. Instead, after half an hour of talking together, I understood that the perfect Coach was right in front of me, one whose contract I'd renew for 10 years if he were to ask me.
"Donadoni is an exemplary professional, painstaking and blessed with a rare quality that I have always liked: sturdiness."
