Lazio chief Claudio Lotito has confirmed that he’s considering the future of Coach Vladimir Petkovic.
Reports this morning suggested that the club would axe the tactician in favour of recalling Edy Reja.
“We need a shock,” the President told Sky Sport Italia. “I’m evaluating what to do over the next few hours.
“I will meet with Petkovic, but we can’t continue on this road. I don’t want to change just for the sake of changing, but I know I have to.
“The future? I have a short list of names. I’ll see what the best medicine is to start again.”
Lazio lost 4-1 to Verona at the weekend, a result which leaves them in joint eighth after collecting just 20 points from their 17 games so far.
The capital club have won just one of their last eight League games and two of their previous 12 in the Italian top flight.
