Giampaolo Pazzini has revealed his joy after returning from a knee injury that has kept him out for seven months.
The striker came on in Milan’s derby loss to Inter before Christmas having been out since May following a knee operation.
The forward though, is in buoyant mood going into 2014.
“I didn’t think too much when I came on in the derby,” he told Milan Channel. “Despite the result, I was very happy to play.
“Getting on to the field and playing with my teammaes after seven months was a great joy.
“Obviously I am not at the top of my game, but I feel good. I am lagging behind in terms of physical fitness, so I need to keep on working.
“I want to return to my best as soon as possible.”
