Marquinho looks to have found a route out of Roma with an initial loan switch to Hellas Verona.
The Brazilian has widely seen to be on his way out of the Stadio Olimpico during the January market, but had so far turned away strongest interest from Genoa.
However, Il Tempo are leading the way in suggesting an agreement may be reached with Verona.
It is believed that the Gialloblu have agreed terms with Roma to take the 27-year-old on an initial free loan through to the summer.
On from that, Andrea Mandorlini’s side will have a purchase option of €1.8m available to them, to take on 50 per cent of the midfielder’s contract.
Verona have been in the market for a midfielder since selling Marquinho’s compatriot Jorginho to Napoli last week.
