Serse Cosmi has spoken of his disappointment after his career as Palermo boss was terminated following just four games.
Cosmi was replaced by the Sicilian outfit last night only hours after a crushing 4-0 loss to bitter rivals Catania.
Given that such a defeat was Palermo's third in four games under the former Perugia tactician, he was subsequently axed.
"I think everyone can understand how I'm feeling," he stated. "I'm disappointed, very disappointed…
"I don't think words can describe my sensations at this point in time. I'll talk at a later stage with calmness.
"Believe me, I'm so affected by what has happened that I really have no desire to answer certain questions. Now is not the time.
"I just have to thank everyone, the media, the fans and all the people who I have met during my brief spell in Sicily.
"To the fans I can just say that I'm sad with how things went at Catania and I'm in pain."
Palermo have decided to recall Delio Rossi, the man who Cosmi actually took over from last month.
