Lazio President Claudio Lotito warned anyone who wants Hernanes can only buy “his left foot” for €17m.
The Brazilian midfielder has been repeatedly linked with a January transfer, as Inter and Paris Saint-Germain are the main contenders.
“Hernanes is a great player and a great talent, so therefore Lazio do not have him on the market,” Lotito told Sport Mediaset.
“We are not looking for buyers, but if any offers do arrive then we will evaluate them at that moment.”
When asked about a reported €17m proposal from Inter, the President scoffed.
“They can buy his left foot for that. We are talking about a player who is not for sale.”
The patron spoke to the media after Lazio’s 1-1 draw against 10-man Juventus last night and also aimed a sideswipe at sacked Coach Vladimir Petkovic.
“The problem was not the equipment, but the person running it.”
The Biancocelesti are unbeaten under new boss Edy Reja with two wins and two draws.
