Nicolas Burdisso has revealed the reason behind his move from Roma to Genoa, and admits that he can’t wait to play in the derby on Sunday.
The defender has joined the Grifone from the capital side, and admits that the reason he did so was to play under Coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
“Why am I here? It was Gasperini who made me choose this club,” he told a Press conference. “He’s a great Coach.
“I can’t wait to play in the derby. Mihajlovic is doing a great job there, but I’m sure it’ll be a good game.”
Marco Motta was also unveiled as a Genoa player alongside Burdisso.
“I am here to contribute to the team and will do everything to make myself useful,” the former Juventus man added.
“We’ll try to take this team as high as possible, because an important club like this deserves to be near the top.”
