Leonardo claims Inter are still on course for a successful season ahead of Tuesday night's Champions League Quarter-Final with Schalke.
Inter need to pick themselves up again after Saturday's harrowing 3-0 defeat to Milan in the Derby della Madonnina, which could spell the end of their title challenge.
"After every defeat there is bitterness, especially after a derby," Leonardo said. "Now we are already thinking about the Champions League.
"This team has always responded well after defeats and it will be that way again.
"It's a fact that we are still in the running for everything and that hasn't changed after a defeat otherwise Inter wouldn't have won for a long time.
"Our analysis must be passion free and the team must have more balance.
"Schalke have played against important teams in the Champions League and even if they haven't had the continuity they've shown in Europe, they are a team to fear who are in good form, have enthusiasm and have reached an important level.
"They haven't got into the Quarter-Finals by chance."
