Verona reportedly have a deal for Racing Club Avellaneda right-back Ivan Pillud.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Hellas are waiting for the former Espanyol man to fly in tomorrow for his medical.
The 27-year-old has five senior caps for Argentina, though the most recent was in 2011.
Crucially, Pillud has an Italian passport and can therefore be registered as an EU player.
He is known to be a very attacking right-back, so could play in a more advanced role for Verona.
