Modibo Diakite’s agent has revealed that the defender wants to stay in Florence beyond the end of the season.
The centre-back joined the Tuscan outfit in January on a six-month loan from Sunderland.
But his representative has claimed that the 26-year-old is keen to stay after a positive start to life with the Viola.
“On a personal level it’s been a positive start for the lad,” Ulisse Savini told TuttoMercatoWeb.
“He definitely needs to improve, but that’s only normal having been in Florence for a just a few days.
“I expect him to continue on a high level. Fiorentina is a great club so we’re happy to be here. Our goal is to stay here.”
