Andrea Ranocchia looked to be on his way out of Inter in January, but stories have emerged that they may offer him a new deal.
The defender was heavily linked with moves to Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray last month, but neither came to fruition.
However, Tuttosport claim that the Nerazzurri will now look to tie the centre-back to a new deal – not though, because they are desperate to keep him.
The paper believes that the new contract will only be offered so as not to lose Ranocchia on a free when his existing contract ends in 2015.
The proposed offer will also include a bumper release clause.
