Alessandro Diamanti’s international future has been assured despite moving from Bologna to China.
The Rossoblu confirmed earlier on Friday that the playmaker has agreed to join Guangzhou Evergrande on a three-year deal.
But respected Sky journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that Italian national team boss Cesare Prandelli has spoken to the trequartista about his future with the Azzurri.
There had been worries from the Diamanti camp that a move to Asia could count against him for this summer’s World Cup.
However, Di Marzio has claimed that Prandelli rang the former West Ham man to reassure him that his place in the squad was confirmed.
