A Juventus fan has been sentenced to nine months imprisonment after being caught entering the match with Verona on Sunday holding a knife.
Calcio News report this afternoon that a 30-year-old man was on his way to the Bentegodi yesterday after travelling from Switzerland.
But before he could enter the ground, the unnamed perpetrator was caught carrying ‘a 24cm knife, firecrackers and smoke bombs’.
The man has been given a nine month sentence, ordered to pay a €2,000 fine and banned from all sporting events for life.
