Inter owner Erick Thohir has highlighted the importance of new signing Hernanes, calling the Brazilian ‘crucial’.
The playmaker joined the Nerazzurri on transfer deadline day from Lazio, and the Indonesian tycoon has insisted that the Selecao international will be vital going forward.
“I believe the addition of Hernanes has been crucial,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “I’m delighted with the win last weekend.
“The lad has the ability to spread the game, but also find tight spaces in the middle of the park.
“He’s a player who can play with both feet and can certainly be the difference for us going forward.
“It was important to get back to winning ways [against Sassuolo] because we’ve gone through a difficult period recently.”
