Giorgio Chiellini believes “the Juventus Stadium makes the difference” as they host Trabzonspor in the Europa League.
The first leg of the Round of 32 tie kicks off on Thursday at 18.00 GMT.
“The Juventus Stadium makes the difference, because it frightens those who have to face it,” Chiellini told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Europa League Final will be played here in May and naturally the Bianconeri hope to be there, having entered this competition via the Champions League.
Chiellini won’t be able to play on Thursday, as he is out of action with a calf injury and teammate Andrea Barzagli is also in doubt.
“The calf is feeling better. Fortunately it wasn’t a serious injury. I’ll try to recover as soon as possible, because we have many important games over the next few weeks.”
