Domenico Criscito has added Napoli to the list of clubs he would like to play for, when he plans to leave Zenit St Petersburg in the summer.
The 27-year-old has been consistently linked with a return to Serie A during his two-and-a-half years so far spent in the Russian Premier League, with Napoli and Genoa in particular listed.
Whilst today reiterating a desire to one day return to former employees the Grifone, the full-back has now confirmed also his interest in representing home town side, the Vesuviani.
“I will stay at Zenit until the end of the season, then I do not know if can fulfil my dream to play for the team of my land - Napoli,” commented Criscito to the Gazzetta dello Sport today.
“Genoa? One day I’d like to return, I feel at home there.”
The full-back has recently returned to the national team, on from having to withdraw from the Euro 2012 squad for becoming embroiled, but later cleared of involvement, in the match-fixing investigation in Serie A.
“Now I can recover what I had lost. I have to thank the Coach and my teammates, I have returned as if nothing has happened, even if for me it was not a certain path.”
