Napoli were very unlucky to go out of the UEFA Youth League at the last second against Real Madrid.
The Partenopei Primavera side had been within seconds of going to penalties in Madrid, but were beaten 2-1 deep into stoppages.
Munoz had put Real in front after 15 minutes and Anastasio nodded in a corner to equalise.
The tie had been very even and heading towards a penalty shoot-out, but at the 95th minute Febas managed to bundle the ball over the line.
“It’s incredible and I still can’t believe we lost the game like this,” said Coach Saurini.
“We had drawn it, the goal arrived after the allotted injury time had already expired. We caused huge problems for a strong side like Real Madrid and at a certain point we really believed.
“We could’ve made it the dream of a lifetime, even on penalties, but we were denied that dream. I saw all the lads crying in the locker room, but they are my pride and joy and represented the whole city wonderfully.”
