Carlo Ancelotti has wished Milan good luck, but says Atletico Madrid are favourite to progress from their Champions League tie.
The two face off in the second leg of their Champions League Last 16 clash a week today at the Vicente Calderon, with Atleti holding a 1-0 advantage from the first leg at San Siro.
For the Rossoneri’s former tactician, who is now in charge of Los Colchoneros’ rivals Real Madrid, the Spanish will likely navigate through the round.
“Good luck to Clarence Seedorf, but the favourite is Atletico,” Ancelotti has told Marca this week.
“Atletico Madrid are favourite for the football they have, the atmosphere at the Vicente Calderon and the advantage they gained from the first leg at San Siro. Simeone will progress through.
“It will be a very intense game.”
