Jorginho has thanked Verona ‘for all their work’ `and now wants to repay the faith shown in him by the Napoli fans.
The youngster moved from the Gialloblu to the Partenopei in January, and has since gone on to play just six games for Rafa Benitez’s men.
The 22-year-old though, is not concerned by his lack of playing time, and just wants to continue to learn.
“I owe so much to Verona,” he told Corriere dello Sport. “Verona game me so much – they helped me grow as a man and as a player.
“My time there was just an accelerated training course. They helped me adapt to Italian football, and I’ll always be eternally grateful.
“But I am at Napoli now, and have already sensed the satisfaction from the fans. I ask myself all the time ‘what have I done to deserve this?’.
“I am convinced I can repay their faith though.
“I came here to win though, not make banal statements. We have a club that is geared towards winning things. And I know we can do it.”
