Japan Coach Alberto Zaccheroni has urged Milan fans to be patient with Keisuke Honda.
The former CSKA Moscow midfielder has struggled since joining the Rossoneri in January, with many suggesting that the move may be just for marketing purposes.
However, the current boss of his national team has insisted that supporters at San Siro have to back their playmaker.
“You have to have patience,” he told Tuttosport. “Even Platini and Zidane took six months to adapt to Italian football.
“Hopefully this international break will be a chance for him to give some positive signals to Seedorf.”
