Massimiliano Allegri admits Milan are “a step closer to the Scudetto” after running a few risks in Tuscany.
“We wasted a lot of chances to put the win beyond doubt and when you do that, sooner or later you risk conceding an equaliser,” he said of the 2-1 result away to Fiorentina.
“The Viola played very well, especially down the right, where they gave us some problems. It is an important victory.”
Napoli and Inter won this weekend, but the Rossoneri remain three points clear at the top of the table.
“We still have the same advantage, have the advantage in the head-to-head records and there is a game less to play, so I guess we are a step closer to the Scudetto.
“Now we have to take it one round at a time, then see how it all ends up.”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned from a two-match ban this evening, but could be out for at least another two or three after his red card for insulting the assistant referee.
“I spoke to Ibra and he told me he was muttering to himself, not the official.”
