Adel Taarabt believes that Milan can turn around their Champions League Last 16 tie against Atletico Madrid.
The Rossoneri are in the Spanish capital for tonight’s second leg as the underdogs, chasing a one-goal deficit courtesy of Diego Costa’s header in the first leg at San Siro.
For Il Diavolo’s Moroccan playmaker, though, the tie is not yet decided, nor that heavily in Atleti’s favour.
“It is a very important game. It will be difficult because we will face a good team, but at San Siro we deserved the victory,” Taarabt has considered in today’s edition of AS.
“If we had won 3-0 then there would be nothing to say against that, but in our way we found a great goalkeeper in Thibaut Courtois.
“If we play with intensity as we did in Milan, we can progress. We have so many great players and we are all adapting to Seedorf’s philosophy. But we can say that we are in a period of rebuilding.
“Milan are a great club, one of the biggest in the world. Everything is great, the organisation is fantastic, just look at the great players to have worn this shirt.
“I will try to make the most of this opportunity.
“Playing at the Calderon will not make a big difference. Atletico have a goal lead from the first leg, but we know we are good and what to do.”
