Alessandro Diamanti has revealed that he turned down a move to Juventus in order to stay at Bologna.
The Italy international left the Rossoblu in January to sign for Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande.
And in a candid interview, the trequartista has admitted that he felt betrayed by the Renato Dell’Ara outfit and rejected the chance to sign for the Bianconeri.
“I prefer not to express myself on my transfer to Guangzhou,” he told Radio Sportival.
“I don’t want to create any controversy. If I look back I just want to concentrate on the positives.
“Maybe in the future I’ll create some ripples because I felt like I was treated badly on a human level.
“I am very sorry for what happened because I always thought I behaved in the correct manner, I had a wonderful experience in Bologna.
“I left some wonderful people that I consider great friends.
“There was a distinct possibility that I could have gone to Juventus, but I decided to stay at Bologna, because that’s what I wanted.”
