Parma have suffered a blow to their survival hopes as Hernan Crespo looks set to miss Saturday's crucial match against Inter.
The veteran Argentine striker, who spent three seasons with Inter, has suffered a bad injury.
Crespo has apparently torn the flexor muscle in his left leg and has almost no chance of being fit in time.
The 35-year-old has scored nine goals for Parma this season.
Parma have lost their last two games in Serie A and continue to hover precariously above the drop zone.
