Filip Djordjevic revealed why he chose to join Lazio after his Nantes contract expires, despite “many proposals.”
The Serbian striker will be a free agent in July and already announced he has an agreement with the Biancocelesti.
“I had many proposals and I pondered them for a while, but decided to leave for Lazio,” he told the official Nantes website.
“I hope for my sake that I made the right choice.”
Djordjevic breaks away from Nantes and Ligue 1 after seven years at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
“Of course it’s hard to leave, as Nantes is a club I love dearly. It will be tough to start training with a new club and new teammates, but this is the life of a professional football player. This is how I must go forward.
“I will remain a Nantes supporter my whole life, though. I arrived here at the age of 19 and what I am today is thanks to Nantes. I adore this club and want to thank everybody.”
