Jose Mourinho consoled Inter and commented on those Cristiano Ronaldo to Milan rumours. “It'd take something completely crazy.”
Real Madrid swept through to the Champions League semi-final by beating Tottenham 5-0 on aggregate, but Mou had an eye on his former club.
“I and the other Inter fans hoped to the end, but it really was a mission: impossible for Inter. Life is like that, you can't always win,” said the Special One on Sky Sport Italia after their exit to Schalke.
“Inter still have the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto race, which is wide open. Then they can focus on trying again next year.”
Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has been stoking rumours that his team will make a bid for Real star Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
There are also reports that Mourinho is going to replace Roberto Mancini on the Manchester City bench.
“For me to Manchester City, I say it is impossible. I won't say it's impossible for Cristiano, because perhaps Berlusconi will want to do something completely crazy, but I can say that Real do not want to sell him.”
Schalke now face Manchester United in the Champions League semi-final, while the other clash is Real Madrid-Barcelona.
“I always end up playing against Barca in this competition, but the first thing I'd like would be to end the game with a full squad. Every time my sides end up with 10 men.”
