Spanish media claim Juventus are targeting Real Sociedad talent Ruben Pardo as the heir to Andrea Pirlo.
The 21-year-old has impressed this season in La Liga, scoring three goals and providing nine assists for his teammates.
According to Spanish site fichajes.net, Juve have set their sights on Pardo as an ideal investment for the summer.
He would be able to learn from Pirlo and develop to take over when the Italian needs to rest in future.
The primary objective was Marco Verratti, but he recently signed a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain.
Pardo came up all the way through the Real Sociedad youth academy and is valued at around €6m.
