Genoa will inquire about signing Bologna goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano as part of their efforts to appoint Alberto Malesani
President Enrico Preziosi has reportedly sounded out Malesani about taking charge of the club next season.
Il Corriere dello Sport understands Preziosi has offered the tactician a two-year contract worth €750,000 a season, prompting Malesani to consider his future at the Renato Dall'Ara.
Genoa are keen to raid Bologna at the end of the season and have already been linked with midfielder Gabi Mudingayi.
However, Viviano is said to be the No 1 target. Bologna own half of his contract and accept that sacrifices need to be made in light of their financial problems.
Inter hold the other 50 per cent of Viviano's rights and given their privileged relationship with Genoa, which saw Andrea Ranocchia and Houssine Kharja move to San Siro in January, it's likely they will back the Italy international's move to Marassi.
Bologna have already lined up a replacement for Viviano in Frosinone youngster Alberto Frison.
