The season is over for Juan Jesus, as the Inter defender has completely ruptured a knee ligament.
The Brazilian went off during last night’s 2-2 draw with Bologna at San Siro and immediately seemed to be in immense pain.
Today the Nerazzurri medical staff released a statement confirming he had suffered the complete rupture of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
It’s not clear how long Juan Jesus will be out for, but his season is to all intents and purposes over and so are his hopes of going to the World Cup with Brazil.
“I want to thank all the fans for their support! I'll be back stronger and more determined than ever,” he wrote on Twitter.
