Fredy Guarin has claimed that he is happy to be at Inter, despite the club suffering a ‘difficult’ season.
The Nerazzurri have endured a tough campaign, slipping to fifth in the table. But the Colombia international has insisted that he is delighted to be paying his football at San Siro, and is looking forward to next term.
“It’s been a difficult year,” he told reporters at a Nike even in Milan this afternoon.
“But we have to face up to those problems if we want to achieve our goals.
“We absolutely need to win the next game [against Sampdoria]. So far we haven’t been lucky in any sense, this season. But we’re looking forward to this weekend.
“The President [Erick Thohir] is very positive, and was so again in the last meeting we had with him.
“We, the players, just have to think about the next game though, and then the next one after that.
“Sunday is fundamental for us. We simply have to win.”
The playmaker then commented on his future at the club, with reports still emanating that he could sign for Juventus in the summer, despite only just signing a contract extension.
“I have agreed a deal for another three years, and I hope to sign another contract once that one’s up.
“I have not signed thinking that I will leave. I feel good here.”
