Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio admits that his team are realistic about what they can achieve after Sunday's 0-0 draw with Fiorentina.
The Old Lady had looked like launching a late challenge for Champions League qualification after winning three games on the bounce.
However, that now appears even more unlikely with just five games of the season remaining.
Asked if he still believes in a top four finish, Marchisio replied: "In what?
"We are eight points adrift of the Champions League places and depend on the results of others.
"We won't give up. We'll try and do our best."
Reflecting on the stalemate at Fiorentina, he said: "It's not a missed opportunity because we gave continuity to our results and had chances in the second half with Bonucci and Del Piero plus a move in which Toni didn't see me for a pass through on goal."
