Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that contract talks with Bacary Sagna are ‘not progressing’.
The France international defender’s current deal at the Emirates is set to expire at the end of the season.
And the tactician has conceded that with the likes of Inter and Manchester City circling, the ‘ball is no longer in their court’.
“Talks are not progressing,” he told a Press conference on Friday morning.
“The ball is not in our court anymore and he has to come back to us.”
Sagna is one of the names being linked with a summer move to San Siro, with Nemanja Vidic already confirming a switch from Manchester United.
Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is another name thought to be of interest to the Nerazurri, with Fernando Torres, Patrice Evra and Alvaro Morata also rumoured to be on their radar.
