Coach Alberto Cavasin and several Sampdoria players got into a brawl with angry fans at the training ground today, just days after the team bus was attacked.
Since the Blucerchiati slipped into the bottom three, the tension has escalated to previously unheard of levels at the club.
On Saturday night a group of ultras invaded the team bus on its way back from the 3-0 defeat to Milan, making death threats and smashing the windscreen.
Today fans repeatedly called for Coach Cavasin to resign and he went outside the ground to talk to them.
This turned into a heated argument and it's reported Cavasin got into a shoving match with some of the supporters.
The security staff intervened to take the tactician away, but there were also arguments between fans and players, such as Massimo Maccarone, as they arrived at the training ground.
Sampdoria have a police presence at the Bogliasco training complex to protect the team from furious ultras.
This Saturday they face a crucial relegation battle with Bari.
