Nicolas Gaitain’s agent told Inter, Manchester United and Liverpool to wait for negotiations with Benfica.
Portuguese newspaper Record claimed the Nerazzurri had approached the champions about a €25m offer, with the two Premier League clubs also interested.
“Many clubs are asking me and Benfica about him,” agent Jose Iribarren told FcInterNews.
“At this moment we are not taking any proposal into consideration, because the lad is concentrated on the end of the season and above all the Finals of the Europa League and Cup.
“Then we’ll see what happens and if there are the conditions or not for him to continue at Benfica, or if we have to go elsewhere.
“At the moment, however, I have nothing to say because we do not have an offer in our hands. We don’t know whether Benfica received any proposals or not. I can say that no foreign club is talking to me about the player.”
When asked whether Inter would be a destination Gaitan favours, the representative left the door open.
“First of all Benfica have to be the ones to tell me he can be sold, then we’ll see what happens. Anything that could be considered progress in his career will be taken into consideration.
“However, I repeat that at this moment he is focused only on the Europa League Final, which would be a very important achievement in his career.”
