Sassuolo survived in their debut Serie A campaign and patron Giorgio Squinzi is proud “we only scored with Italians.”
The Neroverdi had their first ever top flight campaign in 2013-14 and suffered a 7-0 home defeat to Inter, but also beat Milan and Fiorentina 4-3.
“One of the things I am most proud of is that we are the only team in Serie A to have scored all our goals with Italian players,” declared Squinzi.
“We are also the side who played with an all-Italian starting XI the most times this season.”
