Sampdoria have confirmed that Sinisa Mihajlovic will stay on as Coach for the 2014/15 season.
The Serbian tactician has been linked with a move away from the Marassi over the summer, with Inter and Lazio both thought to be interested in his services.
But in a statement on Tuesday afternoon, the Bluerchiati have revealed that the 45-year-old will stay for at least one more campaign.
“The first piece has been placed. Sinisa Mihajlovic will be Sampdoria’s Coach for the 2014/2015 season too,” the statement on their official website read.
“All doubt is removed and with the confirmation of the Serbian Coach, Samp can start planning [for the] next championship.
“In the offices of Corte Lambruschini they’re already working to build a qualified and competitive team able to face the new Serie A.
“[The] future has begun and the Blucerchiati don’t want to be caught unprepared.”
