Bologna will begin next season’s Serie B campaign on minus one point, it has been confirmed this afternoon.
The Emilia-Romagna outfit were relegated from Serie A this term after finishing 19th in Italy’s top flight.
Now, it has been announced that the Rossoblu have been handed further punishment after they were found to have been late on the payment of an outstanding bill in April. As a result, they will start next season at a slight disadvantage to their League rivals.
The other teams making the step down to the second tier are Livorno and Catania.
