The official Serie A website has confirmed that Milan and Torino have agreed to extend their co-ownership of Simone Verdi.
The player spent the last season on loan at Empoli and helped the Tuscan outfit gain promotion to Serie A.
While Italian football’s governing bodies recently announced plans to abolish the co-ownership of players, the renewal of deals already in place is allowed during the transitional period.
As such, the Rossoneri and Granata will continue to share Verdi’s sporting rights, though Tuttomercatoweb.com say it is possible he will remain with Empoli next year regardless.
