Sampdoria have hinted that they anticipate an extension of Manolo Gabbiadini’s co-ownership deal with Juventus.
Clubs have until 7pm Italian time on Friday evening to resolve current co-ownership deals. Whilst the Italian Football Federation is ending such deals from this summer, clubs are allowed to extend existing deals by a further year.
This latter scenario is where Gabbiadini’s future appears to lie, according to Sampdoria’s sporting director.
“On Gabbiadini we are moving slowly towards the renewal of the co-ownership,” Carlo Osti has told Sportitalia.
It was rumoured earlier in the summer that Juventus were willing to bring Gabbiadini back to Turin for at least preseason, but that focus on Domenico Berardi has altered their plans.
Gabbiadini, meanwhile, has been described by analysts in Italy as having been pushing for a permanent resolution to his co-ownership status this summer.
