Alessandro Del Piero's Juventus contract expires in June and he confirms he will only keep playing “if I feel able to ensure a certain level of performance.”
The 36-year-old captain is considering his future after becoming the top Bianconeri goalscorer of all time.
“It's not that I want to continue my career just to carry on playing,” he told Radio Deejay.
“I want to play because I feel able to ensure a certain level of performance.”
Juve are in the Scudetto race, but Del Piero tells fans the primary target is a top three finish.
“We have to do well in order to forget last season's failures. The objective is the Champions League, but above all to leave every game with our heads held high for our own dignity and that of the fans.”
