Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has spoken of his pride at revitalising the fortunes of the Azzurri.
In 2004, Napoli went bust before the movie mogul formed a new club from their ashes which had to start again in the Italian Third Division.
Now, thanks to his stewardship, the two-time Italian champions look set to qualify for next season's Champions League.
"Seven years ago I bought a piece of paper for €30m," he told Italian TV show Porta a Porta. "At the start I knew nothing about football.
"At that stage the club were ranked at 300th in the world, but now we are placed 19th in those standings."
Napoli are third in Serie A after a mighty campaign, but speculation continues to suggest that they may lose boss Walter Mazzarri to Juventus.
