There could be a Juventus aroma about Sampdoria next season after links with Antonio Conte and Alessio Secco.
Doria are expected to make mass changes after a desperately disappointing season which could see them relegated to Serie B.
A new sporting director is considered as a necessity and former Juve official Secco is a contender to take the position.
Sampdoria had initially agreed to net Walter Sabatini, but the latter will soon sign a contract with Roma instead.
One of Secco's first jobs will be to appoint a new Coach and that is where Conte fits into the equation.
Conte, a former Juventus midfielder, is on the verge of getting Siena promoted into the top-flight – mirroring his achievement with Bari in 2009.
Conte has also been associated with the Juve job should Gigi Del Neri be shown the door.
Sampdoria started the season with Domenico Di Carlo in charge, before he was recently replaced by Alberto Cavasin.
